Yes, Matt Ford's gallery has been up for a few days but I've got to apologise for having the wrong link in place!
Should all be fine now and if it isn't then just hit refresh!
After a cock up or 2, the last gallery is now online so that means that all 800 subjects are now up int he Popcultured galleries. The final gallery is by Matt Ford and this photograph is of medication club promoter Jason Jones.
Got to apologise but I still haven't been able to get the last
photographers work into the eighthundred gallery due to
various technical complications etc. It will be up soon!
Big thanks to Land Securities, and an idea by the Culture Company, because Eighthundred is now going to have a new home in St.John's Precinct. Though this time the show will be split and won't be viewable all at once. But through the blog, we'll be able to let you know who is showing and where. More news soon.
David Colbran has sent in a new gallery's worth of photographs of his work photographing 'world music' performers and I'll get them online over the next few days. But here's one to be getting on with and it's of Richie Havens who performed at Woodstock and also sang the sublime 'Going Back To My Roots'. And then of course he also wrote the Julie Driscoll hit Indian Rope Man.
The Popcultured site has gone live with both the entire eighthundred project as well as some other work by featured photographers. Well, nearly eighthundred as we're still waiting on the final images from one of the photographers. But the rest are up there so check them out at www.popcultured.co.uk
The Culture Company have very kindly given us a stack of souvenir DVDs to celebrate Liverpool's 800th birthday which features some great footage of Liverpool going back as far as the 1890's. So if you're down at the exhibition over the next couple of days make sure you pick one up. Thanks.
There's only 4 days left to view the show at Grand Hall Albert Dock and tonight, Thursday, we're open until 8pm. Friday-Saturday opening hours are 10am-5pm.
